Phil The Floor Linedancers

My name is Phil Partridge and along with my wife Sue I run Phil The Floor Linedancers. We are both fully qualified BWDA Instructors.

I began teaching Linedance in 2000. Towards the end of that year I began teaching and hosting at both corporate and Linedance events.

While we don't put a level on our classes, we teach a wide range of the latest dances from easy beginner to advanced bringing you the best from all the great choreographers out there! Our classes and socials are all about having fun within this great pastime of ours. We hope you can join us and welcome any questions you may have.

I really enjoy the buzz of DJing and do this regularly at workshops, socials and weekend events, for Kingshill holidays, amongst others (See bookings page)

I have also been a regular DJ/Instructor at The Deans holiday events in Harrogate, Tenerife and Spain along with weekend events for other organisations. We also hold our own weekend events in collaboration with Karry On Linedancing.

In July 2006 I was asked if I would run a class for a local group whose instructor had moved away. We agreed I would do this for about a month and I've been there ever since!! The class has gone from strength to strength, and we now hold classes and socials in a larger new hall which has a lovely wooden dance floor.

Our son Michael took up linedancing with his wife Michelle and he also teaches and covers our classes when needed.

We both still enjoy our hobby as much as ever and are out dancing most weekends.

(updated Tuesday 21st July 2020)

The Summerlin Centre is not set for opening until September so now is the time to begin preparing for a return to linedance!

We are keeping a close eye on information coming in regarding sanitising, social distancing, ventilation etc but, until we have confirmation from the centre regarding their extra risk assessments, new rules for hirers etc there is little we can do right now except try to establish how many of our dancers feel comfortable and confident to return in September?

We appreciate that this is at least 6 weeks away but, it would be useful if you could let us know, by email preferably.

Also, any questions you may have, we'll try our best to answer. Let's hope we can get dancing again soon. We'll keep you updated as soon as we hear from the Summerlin.

Best Wishes.
